(The colour here is from the next page)

This was a set of test sketches designed to think of ideas for the main piece. The main idea being a liquid coming from the helmet pouring out.

The shapes to the left were meant to be an idea of the helmet breaking.

The piece to the bottom right was to have the person wearing a helmet look at their hands, and the liquid would take forms of fictional things. This took the longest simply because I couldn't figure out how to make the arm/hand feel natural.

This was going to be a bigger version of one of the drawings above. But when I was drawing the liquid it surprisingly felt like a hand, so I decided to double down on it.

In order to make it feel more complete I penned in some details and I coloured the hand into something similar to my gloves.

Based on the lower right drawing in the first image, with having pieces of media appear.

Originally this was supposed to look more "liquid" but when I kept drawing it with triangles and squares so I decided to make it more solid and look like a pile.

PROPOSAL FOR ILLUSTRATION

The general theming we were given for the illustration was for it to express ourselves and our ideas.

My idea was to have a design with several things making up one big thing, which was why I used a cover art from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and artwork from Library of Ruina.

The other images were there for general theming, a helmet, metal, and the colours of purple and yellow, which infact have had a history of being used for premium and luxury brands.

I chose many of the pictures because they have some sort of connection for me.
Helmets and metal remind me of bunkers and machinery, with the helmet also protecting the wearers face.

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure has such a unique visual style that it firmly grabs me, with a look inspired by italian paintings and statues, and a colour scheme that changes purely for the mood of the art piece. And my mum and me connected with Jojo together and that made me enjoy it even more.

Library of Ruina and the game before it Lobotomy Corporation was the first thing  in years that made me want to connect with other people, after all of lockdown, so I have a massive love for it.

The Binding of Isaac was a game that I found long ago. It showed me many themes, peoples thoughts manifesting, pure, raw emotion, messed-up themes, and tons more. And I loved it all, with it creating interests in them.

Gantt Chart

Importance of a Planning Chart

Whenever you're creating something it's always important to plan things out, or at the least knowing your time limits.

On the chart shown here I used it to remind me of how long I have available and to give an idea of what to do for each week.

When I was using the Gantt Chart I had a more unorthodox way of using it, as I didn't really update it as I was going forward. It was as I've mentioned not used it to show what I had done but what I had planned for and as a general idea for time.

Instead of using the chart for writing what I have done I left that for the pages in this website.
