The Big One the end-01.png
  1. What are you presenting?

  2. Is the illustration a good representation of you? WHY?

  3. Are you happy with the results?

  4. What did you enjoy most about the project?

  5. What skills would you like to develop further in the next project?

  • What are you presenting? - My result from following the project, a large collage containing references to artwork that I've made previously in the project.

  • Is the illustration a good representation of you? WHY? - Not entirely, due to the way things were added with a  "What have I referenced before" and a "What can I put in next?" mentality (with the chosen media being connected to things I had interacted around the time) rather than a "What can show what makes me, me?" one. So I can't say my art piece exactly expresses who I am.
However it can also be said that the choices of media that I referenced are things I'm into and thus are representative of part of me.

  • Are you happy with the results? - Considering what it is in it's current form, I can say that I am happy with how it is. Much of my original ideas like the references being positioned to make the actual shape of a helmet, the use of posing with a character, real-life images, more personality  and so on weren't put in due to either technology issues or not believing in my art skills. I tried my best to keep elements of those in, the hand for the character and the helmet still being the main base of the artwork.                Despite missing several of the original ideas I feel that the final product is completely fine with how it is right now.

  • What did you enjoy most about the project? - Coming up with how to reference my previous works, both the content of them and their methods, and other inspirations.. An example being the gears, which were chosen as they're made with metal which was one of my main ideas for representing myself, the right gear is both a new reference and an old one as it's inspired from a game called DELTARUNE which wasn't referenced before but contains purple and yellow which was originally going to be a bigger motif. The left gear previously had piano keys as teeth due to the right gear's teeth being square but I changed it due to realising I'm not connected to pianos much. Then I wanted to reference when I distorted shapes and I realised that I could kill two birds with one stone by using the shapes as the left gear's teeth.

  • What skills you like to develop further in the next project? - As I said that many of my original plans were abandoned due to artistic ability if there was a skill that I'd want to develop in the future it'd be with them, specifically posing with drawing people/anatomy.
