Scott Grant
For this lesson, we were preparing to use illustrator for making a title of our TV show concept, and since we had previously learned typography we were re-taught the method.
The first thing we were told to do was to select from a set of words and then sketch the word, modifying or adding details to the text that fit with the word.
Specifically we would select 1 word and create 3 pieces for it, which then we would re-do in a bigger design and then again digitally for 1 of them.
For me however I couldn't think of more than 2 for the word Smile, and I had more ideas for the other words. So I decided to keep the 2 designs for Smile and do a full 3 for 2 other words, Top and Lazy.
Smile: The word smile bent into an actual smile, and the word smile made out of smily faces.
Top: The word Top on the top, a large T with op on top, and TOP spelt on tophats.
Lazy: Lazy written in comic sans, Lazy slowly falling down word-by-word, and Lazy is recliner chair.

This is my name, Scott, edited with using the pen tool and direct selection to modify it.
And this is the digital recreations of some of my designs, I still find it funny that Lazy is just the word lazy in comic sans.
