This is a look into 3 different Cartoon shows, describing their concepts of the characters and world.

World

With the logo's shiny red colour, jagged appearance, and feeling of depth in it, it sells the design of an adventure show. Which is reinforced as well with the sword through the logo.

Characters

Adventure Time's world, at least from the start, is set in a fantastical world called the Land of Ooo, with residents made of candy, fire, and many other concepts. Yet in such a world the Protagonist of it is a regular human named Finn. Many episodes, especially early ones, like to introduce new concepts of the world, like how there's weather with raining daggers, the existence of vampires, and various other things.

However one of the most interesting parts of the show isn't just the concepts, but how it evolved with age, to become darker and mature. With it eventually revealing that Ooo was the product of a nuclear war. It's also one of few cartoons where the protagonist, Finn The Human, actually ages throughout the show.

The characters have a very easy to draw design, with bodies made with basic shapes, and faces that are made of dots and lines. Which is a good design choice for a kids series, considering how easy it'll be for the characters to be drawn, both for children and the actual artists for the show as they'll need to draw them a lot.

Personality-wise it's hard to mix up 2 different characters as everyone has a unique characteristic, and many of them have had several episodes and moments to flesh themselves out and even change throughout the years.

Extremely basic black and white colour scheme, while it isn't flashy it's wobbly design does feel like it represents the show, and with a name like "Regular Show" the blandness of the logo can make sense.

World

The world of Regular Show is very interesting as for parts the setting is very similar to ours, with the two main characters, Mordecai and Rigby, working as groundskeepers in a public park, who dislike their job and get into rather mundane situations.

However the world is also incredibly weird and wacky, as the two main characters, Mordecai and Rigby, are a Blue-Jay and Racoon respectively, work for a gum-ball machine, and their situations lead to chaotic results.

The show is characterised by meshing these two sides together, with characters of grounded personalities, yet absurd designs, in a world where they work get into minuscule situations that lead into absolute surreal chaos.

Characters

Design-wise every single important character have an incredibly unique design, Mordecai and Rigby are two different animals, a Blue-Jay and a Racoon respectively, who work for Benson, a gum-ball machine, and Pops, a lollipop-like man. Such designs are a major part of what can attract people for their weirdness.

However their personalities feel very human, Mordecai and Rigby love to chill out with their lives, playing games and getting food, but dislike doing their job. Benson has anger issues and commonly threatens with firing, yet has had moments with his personal interests being mentioned.

World

The Fairly OddParent's setting is rather mundane with the series set in a fictional city.

The show's premise is that a 10 year old boy named Timmy Turner, who is commonly left by his parents and stuck with an evil babysitter, is given magical fairy god parents that can grant every wish he has. Which as a premise for a show for children really makes sense as want every wish granted is something kids would want, and early in the series the wishes usually caused an issue which lead to a moral at the end of the episode.

Characters

The Fairly OddParents' art style is very striking thanks to its creative yet simple colouring and large focus of unique silhouettes. When you leave only the characters' outlines you'd still be able to tell who is who thanks to many characteristics of their design.

Timmy Turner and Cosmo have similar hair styles, yet can be differentiated with details like Timmy having a cap that's connected to his head while Cosmo has a crown floating above his head.

Personality-wise characters are quite simplistic, but still lively, just enough for young watchers to understand them. Timmy Turner is as described in the show's theme song as "an average kid who no one understands", and has traits that are similar to actual kids with how he commonly doesn't think of the consequences (with the wishes), can be quite selfish, but usually means well. And for many episodes where he causes something bad he usually is repremanded, so kids would know it's bad to do.
